The Tip came off my Pool Cue
Tips a Consumable part of owning a pool snooker billiard cue, tips do not last the life of a cue you need to replace them if they come off or wear out.
Cheaper Cues have Screw in tips, Better Cue have Glue on type.
Screw tips have a plastic base and a hollow thread in the brass sometimes making a small vibration and a less consistent shot when hitting the cue ball. Screw tips are best for easy quick changes like in a pub or club environment.
Glue tips are directly glued to the timber on the end of the cue with a brass ferrule holding the strength at the end of the shaft. This gives a solid more controlled experience.
The tip can come off from “miss cueing” the white ball or dropping the cue, when you drop a cue the energy will slap out the tip end and the tip will pop off, it is easy to to replace scrape the old glue with a razor (not sandpaper) and re glue another one on. if you have already sanded the end of your cue the tip may never stay on consistently again as you have made a slight rounded surface on the end of you cue.
