The Infiltrator is one of those soft plastics that looks engineered rather than merely moulded. Rapala has built the bait around a segmented baitfish body, a front action bib, a second stabilising bib and a weighted belly keel so the whole lure works through the retrieve instead of relying on a single tail movement.

The result is a smooth, fluid swimming action that closely resembles a baitfish trying to escape. At slower speeds it tracks naturally with a restrained, lifelike movement. Increase the retrieve speed and the front bib adds a more nervous shimmy, giving the lure the look of prey that suddenly knows it is being chased.

Built to be fished at more than one speed

The Infiltrator is not locked into one retrieve. Slow-roll it when fish are following or feeding cautiously, then speed it up to make the front bib work harder and create a panicked baitfish look. Mix in twitches, short sweeps, pauses and changes of pace and the segmented body keeps the lure looking alive instead of stiff or mechanical.

At 3 Inch, this version is compact enough for pressured estuary fish, but with far more life than a basic straight-bodied plastic. It is an excellent option for bream, flathead, bass, estuary perch, mangrove jack and other predators feeding on smaller baitfish.
