Description

Mako Explorer II 9608 — G3SX Copper Photochromic Crown Glass Lens

The Explorer II revives Mako’s iconic expedition style with soft leather side shields and two interchangeable arm sets. Finished in Matte Black, this version is built to deliver adaptable retention and strong side protection in a distinctive heritage design.

The real difference is the G3SX Copper Photochromic Crown Glass. The copper filter enhances contrast and the photochromic lens darkens automatically in sunlight, making it useful from low light through brighter conditions. Mako does not specify High Definition or Infra-Red filters for G3SX.

Choose G3SX when one lens must handle changing light during freshwater or inshore fishing, driving and long outdoor sessions. In the Explorer II, the lens is paired with a frame designed for confident outdoor use rather than a generic one-size-fits-all story.

Why the Explorer II frame works

  • Soft leather side shields
  • Two arm sets: hook-around-ear and modern straight style
  • Distinctive high-coverage heritage profile
