Description
Target Hydro 90% Steel Tip Darts
The Hydro steel tip darts range is inspired by the precision and consistency of fluid motion—crafted to deliver a seamless throw with enhanced grip and control. Designed with high-performance in mind, the 90% tungsten barrels feature finely milled radial grooves and contoured cuts for a modern aesthetic and tactile feel. Choose from three distinct barrel profiles; Barrel 01 offers a straight design, with a subtle taper towards the nose offering front-weighted balance for throwing accuracy.
Why this setup works
- 90% tungsten for a dense, compact barrel profile and tighter grouping potential.
- Swiss Point equipped so point length and style can be changed in seconds with the correct Target tool.
- Radial grip zones give the fingers clear, repeatable reference points around the barrel.
- Target Pro Grip shafts complete a light, proven factory setup.
Barrel & grip
The 90% tungsten construction keeps the barrel dense and relatively slim, which leaves more room in the treble bed when the darts start grouping tightly. A straight barrel keeps the grip zones predictable from front to rear and suits players who like a neutral, repeatable hand position. The more compact torpedo/bullet influence gives the barrel a planted feel in the fingers and a clear centre section to lock onto. Radial grooves create obvious reference points around the barrel, helping the fingers return to the same position throw after throw.
How it feels at the oche
In the hand, the straight profile and radial cuts make the release easy to read. There is no dramatic bulge forcing the grip into one spot, so front, middle and rear grippers can find a repeatable position and let the barrel leave the fingers cleanly.
Technology that earns its place
Swiss Point — change the setup without changing the dart
Target’s Swiss Point system uses a precision-machined taper and thread to lock the point securely into the barrel. With the pocket-sized Swiss Point tool, the point can be changed in seconds, making it easy to alter point length, style or finish without a repointing machine. The engineered break point is also designed so a damaged point can still be removed with the tool — a clever system that keeps a match set serviceable and customisable.
Pro Grip shafts — simple, proven and match-ready
Target Pro Grip shafts use high-strength nylon with a smooth lead-in and a secure flight hold. They are light, easy to replace and intentionally uncomplicated, letting the barrel and flight do their jobs without adding unnecessary weight to the rear of the dart.
Vision / Pro Ultra flights — matched to the setup
The supplied Target flights are selected to complete the factory setup and give the dart a stable, predictable flight path straight out of the box. They can be swapped later to tune speed and angle, but the included shape is the natural starting point for the barrel.
